LEGAL ISSUES IN E-WALLET PRACTICES

E-Wallet has been applied in Muslim and non-Muslim jurisdictions many parts of the world including Malaysia, China, India, Korea. The application is widely used raised questions with regard to legal shariah issues. This paper aims analyse specifically, issues affecting e-wallet practices. adopted a qualitative research approach. data collected include document reviews, ethnographical interviews observations. study found several related inter alia, an unclear position on liability board directors operators, breach mandate exclusion operators. As important as enabler increase financial inclusion, it address enhance good governance best practices Malaysia. findings from this can be basis for policymakers scholars formulation guidelines compliance e-wallets.
